the crystal structure was determined of the neodymium compound with the composition. two crystallographically different neodymium complexes with the identical composition were detected in the independent portion of the elementary cell. coordination number of neodymium atoms in both molecules is equal to 9. coordination polyhedron (cp) was interpreted in two ways: three-cap trigonal prism or one-cap tetragonal antiprism. the interpretation of cp was also examined using the cotton-bergmann principle. the average nd-o(p) bond length is 2. 42(2) angstroms and the average nd-o(no//3) bond length is 2. 57(3) angstroms. 17 refs
