service wear trials were conducted to evaluate the performance of white hospital uniforms made of durable press treated 65/35 and 50/50 blends of polyester/cotton. the uniforms were worn and then commercially laundered 25 times using phosphate and carbonate built detergents. laundering with phosphate detergent resulted in significantly higher percent soil removal, improved durable press appearance ratings and increased strength retention. 22 refs
