the paper reports on an experimental analysis of the transient charge-transfer capability and electrical characteristics of cotton plants having a rapidly time-varying electric-field gradient imposed just off their surface. the plants were subjected to several types of electric-field strength and geometry; charge transfer ability was measured as a function of increasing drought stress. refs
