The French company Rhovyl have developed an anti-bacterial fibre that prevents the development of micro-organisms which are responsible for bacterial contamination and unpleasant odours. The fibres can be used in wet- or dry-laid nonwovens and are naturally flame-retardant. They are also particularly suited to heat sealing and thermobonding processes.
