Charts Dupont's research into elastomeric fibres from the 1950s. Superior properties and consumer preference have led to growing application of Lycra, including elasticized woven. Lucre Soft aims to provide increased comfort and freedom of movement, while Lycra power is designed to enhance athletic performance. Expansion of Lycra production has been particularly rapid in Asia.
