Kuraray Company Limited's Kuralon K-Ⅱmanmade fiber derives from a solvent wet-cooled gel extrusion method that functions as an environmentally friendly closed system and provides improved fiber structure uniformity, organic solvent recyclability, and greater flexibility in polymers than conventional wet extrusion methods. Kuralon K-Ⅱprocessing can used polyvinyl alcohol, vinyl acetate alcohol, cellulose ester, or acrylonitrile polymers. It produces fibers with high tenacity, splittability, and water solubility for such end uses as reinforcement fibers. The company blends Juralon K-Ⅱ fibers with wool and other fibers for the apparel market.
