Streat Instrument's MAJAC system accurately measures and controls the moisture in cotton fibers at laydown, which increases yields through reduced waste, improved yarn quality, improved yarn evenness, reduced short fiber content, and improved yarn strength. Ensuring that the moisture content of the fiber being fed into the opening machine is uniform optimizes opening machine operation and product quality. Maintaining cotton fiber moisture content at approximately 8.5 percent at laydown increases fiber resiliency, pliability, and tensile strength. The system features both the Streat Moisture Meter and the Streat Moisture Controller.
