Lyocell is suitable for winter apparel, when blended with more insulating materials, such as wool fibers. Lyocell has similar moisture absorption characteristics as wool. Researchers studied the optimal dyeing conditions for lyocell/wool blend fabrics with regard to fiber damage, fibrillation, colorfastness, and dimensional stability. Direct and reactive dyes were used in the study. 5 refs.
