Cotton farmers will plant more upland cotton this year due to increased demand and improved prices. Lower soybean prices have contributed to the increase in upland cotton planting in several areas. The USDA reports that planted land could increase to 12 million acres. The amount of upland cotton to be planted in the Mid-South, Texas, the West, and the Southeast is given.
