Field trials in Arkansas compared the effectiveness of five new insecticides--Steward (indoxacarb), Denim (emamectrin benzoate), Tracer (spinosad), Intrepid (RH-2485), and Leverage (cyfluthrin and imidacloprid)--with Karate and Asana for controlling tobacco budworm in cotton. All new insecticides provided effective control of tobacco budworm. A rate response occurred with Steward and S-1812. 8 refs.
