Tensile testing determined the effects of crystallinity on the stress-strain curves of nonstretched polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films and strip biaxially stretched PET films annealed and treated with boiling water. Analysis based on the series model of crystalline and amorphous phases of nonstretched and biaxially stretched PET films gave the ratios of Young's modulus and yield stress of crystalline and amorphous phases. 15 refs.
