Correlation Analysis of EFS Data.

Determining the relationship between data values for such fiber characteristics as micronaire, length, uniformity, strength, and yllowness could improve the precision of EFS data value analysis for cotton fiber laydown. During linear correlation analysis, the value of the correlation coefficient between any two of the cotton properties depends on how well a straight or curved line describes the relationship of the two properties. Autocorrelation and cross correlation functions that describe the general dependence of the data values at a given time on the values at another time help determine power spectral density estimates via Fourier transform correlation estimation. Data indicate that the structure of EFS data for laydowns may involve certain periodic components. 1 ref.
