The next step in the development of Tencel is to explore its potential in blends. In the with this policy Acordis Fibres has decided to reduce the minimum percentage of Tencel required for blends and the trademark can now be applied to products with a minimum of 40% Tencel. Tencel A100 is a new product created in the first place for knitwear and jersey and is a new variant in which fibrillation is controlled to produce a different look to that of classic Tencel. The main themes for Tencel for the spring/summer 2000 season are presented and the fabric and colour trends for autumn/winter 2000/2001 are noted.
