Fibre glass composite applications-reinforcements of thermoplastic and thermosetting resins-represent approximately 5,5 million tonnes world-wide, with an annual growth rate of 5,6% since 1991. Globally, the thermosetting compsites represent 75% of the market. Their growth rate over the 1991-1998 period is 4,5%, when reinforced thermoplastics composites enjoy a 10,5% increase over the same period.
