Stockhausen Incorporated manufactures chemical aids to processing for the finishing industry, spin finishes, secondary processing lubricants, and polymer processing additives. Product development has led to a new class of lubricants with biodegradability, good skin compatibility, low toxicity, thermal stability at conventional heat setting temperatures, and surface activity. These carbonic acid polyester based lubricants eliminate the need for emulsifying or wetting agents in the manufacture of polyester and nylon partially oriented yarns and drawtextured yarns. The use of a secondary coning or warping oil based on this chemistry improves quality and reduces costs. Greige fabrics do not have to be scoured to remove the fiber lubricants.
