Shell Chemical Company's Corterra polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber is a high performance fiber with strong market potential. Corterra has the softness of nylon fiber, the stain resistance and durability of polyester fiber, and the bulk of acrylic fiber. Its elasticity extends its applications to products that require stretch properties. It can be blended with other fibers and is dyeable at low temperatures.
