Physically enhanced elastic fibre from Asahi chemical Industry

A polyurethaneurea fibre with a high breaking strength has been developed by Asahi Chemical Industry Co. Ltd. As a result it is possible to produce a fine denier polyurethanethaneurea fibre that is elastic and can be processed in high draft conditions to produce covered or core yarns. The developer also says that manufacturers can use the fibre to make woven and knitted fabrics at higher speeds.
