European fiber producers show new trends at Paris expofil

The 44th Expofil yarn fair took place in Paris in December 2000, attracting slightly fewer visitors than the same season in 1999. The show emphasized sheers and lightweight fabrics for spring/summer 2002. More than 30 companies demonstrated new and old fibers for the European yarn sector. These included Dryarn, a new polypropylene microfiber from Aquafil; the sorbtek moisture - control system for knits and wovens (Unifi); numerous flame retardants, and Sylkharesse polyonide microfibers for cotton blends.
