Aspects concerning the processing of Alceru stale fibres (German) (Aspekte zur Verarbeitung von Alceru-stapelfasern)

The characteristics of Alceru staple fibres put them in the same quality bracket as lyocell fibres. From among the many parameters which affect the processing behaviour and quality of the end product, the fibre finish was selected for special study in relation to the extent to which the fibre manufacturer can exert an influence here. The objective first of all was to find the best finishes for use in processing Alceru fibres into ring-and rotor-spun yarns. Previous experience gained with processing the fibres under normal production conditions confirms the results obtained during the preliminary selection process. Furthermore, the initial study shows what further investigations should be initiated in order to meet specific requirements (e.g. The Okotex requirements for textiles) and to extend the range of applications.
