Visitor numbers for the American Textile Machinery Exhibition International were down by 8% compared to 1997, but the proportion of top-level decision makers among the visitors was high 34%. The author discussed possible future changes to the ATME exhibitions with organisers and exhibitors, including the consolidation of ATME - I one ATME - II into one show.
