As time passes substantial changes caused by continued research and development in the appearance of textile fibres contribute new behavioural, characteristic, and even structural properties. In the field of protective clothing, casual clothing and even that of conventional garments, this enables garments to have better properties. In this article we try to make a brief, and non-exhaustive overhaul of some of the important outlines of changes to fibres.
