Blend fibre-forming systems where the commercial fibre-forming polymer forms a substantial part of the fibre are very interesting from the point of view of the improvement of some properties of synthetic fibres. If the polymer is used as an additive to the fibre-forming polymer a question of the satisfactory spinnability and stretchability of the blend is very important. The above-mentioned qualities depend also on the mutual interactions of the basic polymer and additive.
