Prouvost && Lefebvre are French top manufacturers and combers. Teh firm specializes in the production of merino wool tops for knitting and weaving. More than 30,000 tons of tops are produced each year. Andre Beirnaert, managing director of wool processing operations in France, Spain, and Germany, says that the recent recession has resulted in 30 percent less business in 1993. He is confident, however, that business will improve during 1994, despite uncertainties surrounding the availability and price a Australian wool.
