Innovations in the field of quality control in cotton combing and drafting are described. The paper deals with the 'short period' regulation of modern card slivers; the new generation of Superlap drafting machines; on-line quality; an integrated transport system with laser technology; the development and operation of the transport system; new electronic commands for combing machines; the most important functions in the menu of the new combing machines; and one-step drawing after combing. The operations are described with reference to Vouk machinery.
