A review of ITMA 1995 discusses the latest technical developments in the spinning sector. In general, all machinery from the fiber opening to the yarn production stages has been improved by the addition of electronic control systems. The performance of carding machines has improved significantly. Graf, for example, offered a new card clothing at ITMA 1995. Trutzschler presented the DK 803 carding machine. Rieter introduced the Trex trash eliminating system for its C 50 carding machine. Trutzschler's HS 1000 and HSR 1000 drawing machines featured fast and precise controls. Rieter's use of ceramic rings optimized spinning geometry and improved the performance of its G30 ring spinning machine. In the rotor spinning sector, Schlafhorst's Autocoro 288 and Rieter's R 1 machines featured rotor speeds of up to 150,000 rpm. Spindlefabrik Suessen exhibited its RingCan sliver spinning technologies. In the air jet spinning sector, Murata introduced a nozzle for cotton yarn insertion during spinning.
