At ITMA 1995, Zellweger Uster introduced the Uster EXPERT system for quality monitoring of spinning mills. The EXPERT locates faults in the production process, determines their cause, and evaluates their influence on the quality of fabrics or knitted goods. The system also compresses data to the minimum required by the user. The EXPERT can be connected to the Uster TESTER 3-B featuring modules for assessing mass, yarn hairiness, and yarn count. The system records and stores mass and hairiness diagrams and spectrograms, evaluating them for preset or periodic deviations.
