This report includes tips for carding, combing, the drawframe, speedframe and ring frame which should lead to better quality cotton/polyester blended yarns. It is recommended that all departments of a spinning mill be located in a single storey structure for ease of materials handling. The most modern spinning machinery will provide the best yarn quality and productivity figures. The latest humidification equipment will provide the best conditions for smooth operations and the cotton used must be compatible with polyester, which should be of the same quality, type and brand throughout the production batch.
