ITMA 1995 did not feature any revolutionary technologies in the area of cotton spinning, but focused on the optimization of individual process parameters. Systems for the removal of foreign matter included Jossy's Vision Shield, Trutzschler's Securomat, Zellweger's Optiscan, and Uster's Peyer Clearer. Improvements in ring spinning included ceramic rings from Bracker, Reiners + Furst, and Cerasiv. Air jet spinning developments included Murata's RJS roller jet spinning machine, in which yarn emerging from the drafting zone is directed by a single air jet onto a pair of balloon rollers. In other areas, Trutzschler introduced a new carding machine, the DK 803, designed for a much higher level of productivity than its predecessor; and Toyota introduced its Type FL 100 flyer with an integrated doffer, which can exchange a full flyer spool in less than 3 minutes.
