JCT Limited developed microdenier yarns of 0.5 and 0.8 denier. Tinting should not be used for JCT polyester 0.8 denier yarn. Rather, the manufacturer recommends color coding card and drawing cans and roving/ring bobbins. Blending the polyester and combed cotton at the mixing stage offers better carding performance and minimized risk of roller lapping. Other specifications for JCT yarn include high cylinder speeds (around 360 rpm), reduced lickerins speeds (about 800 rpm), carding rates of 20 kilograms per hour, and acid treatment after buffing. The 0.8 denier JCT polyester/cotton yarns offer lower hairiness, improved strength, and good weaving performance on air jet looms.
