The relationship between fiber properties and yarn strength for polyester and viscose yarns was investigated. Six viscose and five polyester yarns were used for the study. The effects of different twist multipliers on yarn stength were considered. The experimental data were subjected to statistical analysis. A linear relationship was established between yarn Lea CSP and fiber properties for both viscose and polyester yarns. 7 refs.
