On-line quality control engineering for synthetic yarn - spinning mills and texturing companies

The benefits of on-line quality control for synthetic fibre and yarn production is reviewed. The technology, which can be used for friction texturing, air-jet texturing, spin-draw texturing and spincable texturing, provides early recognition of changes, marking of misproduction and current information to enable optimisation of the process. It is concluded that the equipment of a production plant with an on-line control system gives decisive economic advanages.
