JCT Mills outlines recommendations for spinning microndenier yarns from 0.8 denier filaments. JCT polyester fibers require no tinting or additional oil applications. Polyester and combed cotton should be blended at the mixing stage to ensure better carding performance and minimize roller lapping. An opening line comprising a hopper opener, multimixer, and fine opener minimizes nep generation during blowroom treatment. Cylinder speeds of 360 rpm and lickerin speeds of 800 rpm improve fiber individualization and minimize fiber damage. JCT Mills also offers recomendations for optimum drawing, ring spinning, and atmospheric conditions.
