The use of metal filters for i) cleaning the conveyor airflow for waste from the main cleaning stage of raw cotton with a so-called Cleanmaster unit; ii) separating dust and fibre blends from the airflows for conveying the top and bottom card waste from a machine processing a 20/40/40 flax/cotton/acrylic blend; and c) cleaning the exhasut air from the top and bottom card waste from the three cards processing short-staple cotton for cotton wool products is discussed.
