The critical quality parameters affecting the performance of the rings and their tolerance limits are discussed. The experience of over one decade at ATIRA Accetest laboratory on testing of rings is discussed in this article. It is suggested that a mill must get the rings tested before their purchase to ensure their subsequent good performances at shopfloor.
