The processing of discontinuous fibre yarns with elastomer

Research by Savio on the twisting of cotton, wool, viscose and other discontinuous fibre yarn with an elastomer is outlined. The elastomer filament is available in two forms, coated and natural. Coated elastomer is fairly expensive, and natural elastomers are preferred. The resulting yarn can be used in knitting and weaving. Its characteristics are discussed.
