Rieter Spinning Systems' SPIDERweb fully integrated monitoring system collects, prepares, and displays quality and production data on a central monitor. The system provides an overall view of operations, the ability to track processes, support during changeovers, raw materials optimization, the ability to increase output, and labor cost savings. It monitors slub catcher operations, count deviations, and other quality parameters. Its detailed analysis of stoppage frequency, downtime, and stoppage causes allows companies to significantly improve production efficiency. The system fits all current Rieter spinning machines; records malfunctions with time, date, and cause; generates tables, charts, and spectrograms; and operates with 486 personal computers using a Microsoft Windows 3.11 or Windows 95 format with 8 megabytes of RAM.
