Energy-saving potential in the spinning mill (German)

Ways in which energy can be saved in the spinning mill are outlined. Two cases are discussed: a ring spinning mill in India producing combed yarns and a rotor spinning mill in an industrial country producing carded yarns. The production costs are split up into wage, energy, capital and material costs and costs to cover depreciation. In ring spinning costs can be cut by installing Rieter G30 ring frames and E60 or E70 combing machines, as well as SB/RSB drawframes. In rotor spinning use of the Rieter R1 rotor spinning machine and the C50 Hi-Per-Card is shown to reduce energy consumption.
