In numerous firms older spinning plant is no longer properly maintained, which is not a good state of affaris under current conditions. Frequently it is the cost factor or merely inertia and carelessness which are responsible. Sometime cleaning is not carried out because the responsible operatives are overloaded. Plans for maintaining, lubricating and cleaning spinning machines are tabulated.
