Polyester microfibre (0.9 dtex) has been spun in a ring spinning frame with variation of the spinning conditions (traveler speed, type of traveler, doffing and drawing) as indicated in Taguchi's methold. Responses evaluated report regularity parameters (USTER values, thin points, thick points, neps, hairiness) and tensile parameters (tenacity, elongation, breaking strength and modulus). After considering by separate the optimal condition for each response, a globally optimal combination is proposed.
