A tufting machine for tufting yarns into a backing material comprises front loop pile loopers arranged across the width of the machine, rear cut-pile loopers which are spaced apart from the front loop-pile loopers, a first set of front needles arranged between the front and rear loopers, and a second set of rear needles arranged between the front needles and the rear loopers.
