it is shown that the cleaning stations should be adjusted so that whiter waste than formerly is produced. the sequence of waste removal from the various waste stations should be designed and arranged so that a mixture of all wastes is presented to the 'cleanstar'. an operational fire protection system should be incorporated. a reserve cylinder group is worthwhile in the event of grinding or renewal of the clothing. a fibre depository to provide for machine stoppage in the blowroom line increases operational reliability and prevents log-jams in the blend. 2 refs
