a study to determine the significance of the effects of fiber length, uniformity ratio, micronaire index, yarn linear density and yarn twist multiplier on the two yarn-spinning processes for cotton yarn (a) ring-spinning and (b) rotor-spinning is presented. the contribution of these variables to the multiple coefficient of correlation is also examined. results are tabulated, and it is observed that general trends are similar to those obtained for all yarns. 3 refs
