in the reported experiments, the composition of cotton-jute blends, at various stages of processing from blowroom to ring frame, has been analyzed using an x-ray diffraction method. the study revealed that the reduction in the nominal jute content observed in the ring yarn is due to preferential losses of this fiber under the licker-in region. 4 refs
