Cantrac is an automatic circulating system for carrying sliver cans to open end spinning machines or speed frames. The fully automatic system is self contained, requiring the operator to monitor only the replacement of empty cans with full ones in the appropriate creel channels to ensure the number of cans in circulation remains constant. The semiautomatic version requires manual removal of the full cans from the track. The number of cans should equal the number of spinning heads regardless of the amount of sliver they contain.
