Scharer Schweiter Mettler AG's DP1-C Digicone Preciflex air covering machine combines two or more yarns to create yarns with totally new properties. The Digicone reduces process costs by up to 60 percent with its higher production speeds and reduced power consumption. The integrated rotating ceramic yarn guides in the yarn path provide stable and reproducible air covering conditions as well as gentle treatment of processed yarns. Each spindle has individual drives and controls that allow maintenance or repair of individual spindles without stopping he entire machine. Other features include an electronic yarn length measuring system for each spindle, electronic yarn sensors, yarn lubrication system, and individually adjustable yarn tensioning devices.
