The dynamic modeling of yarn deformation comprises both mathematical and graphical simulations. In January 1996, De Montfort University launched an investigation into the different types of yarns resulting from different manufacturing environments and processes. Mathematical simulation concentrated on the torsional effects of fiber assemblies by balancing gravity, shear flow, and stress in a differential equation (vector form). The three dimensional presentation will help other researchers analyze the mechanics of flexible textile materials. 4 refs.
