Neppiness influences the appearance of yarn, and consequently the quality of fabrics, especially in terms of dye uniformity. Neppiness is influenced by the quality of processed raw materials and the technological process. An investigation into nep size and distribution, the number of neps and changes in nep characteristics is presented.
