Rieter automated equipment reduces labor requirements during night and Sunday shifts at the Kunz spinning Mill in Linthal, Switzerland. The Kunz Mill operates 17 G5/2 ring spinning machines. Each spinning machine is equipped with a Robodoff for automatic doffing, two Robofils for thread piecing and machine monitoring, a Robocreel for roving bobbin changing, and a Servo-disc for automatically linking the ring spinning machine and the winder. The mill is also equipped with one Servotrail installation for automatic linking of the roving frame and ring spinning machine. The economic advantages of Rieter automated equipment for spinning mills are discussed. 1 ref.
