Understanding the costs of texturing is critical to texturing companies and texturing machinery manufacturers. Rieter-Scragg's Process Control Model software reflects the relationships between texturing costs and allows simulation by varying the parameters. Presented in spreadsheet format, the software allows a cost analysis adapted to each individual texgturing process. An example of 150 denier yarn illustrates the influence of such parameters as machine operating efficiency, package weight, yarn break rate, return on investment, and return on sales.
