Innovatex's Pally system for handling and transporting yarn packages has been installed at the Swedish Skene mill of Boras Waefveri. The system travels on rails at the delivery end of the spinning machine. It places eight packages preciously on a pallet so that they do not touch.When the packages have been placed, the unit puts a cardboard leaf on top and begins another layer of packages. This process continues until eight packages each have been stacked. The system then transports the packages to warping, weaving, or customer shipment areas. The Pally system handles packages more delicately than manual handling. The tube is held on the inside, which eliminates handling and contact with the outside yarn layers.
